They can be taken to court for violation of FOIA. They have lost before and had to settle. I wonder what would happen this time. There is evidence against all four of them.

Who has to bring the charges? The School Board or the one(s) who provided the original FOIA request?

They're ignoring them because of the wrongdoing shown in them, the influence management game, and other bad conduct that would be revealed. We've stayed on this since the "Parents' meeting" on 12/20. We're now in month 6 waiting for Justice. Waiting. Most folks have no idea how diligent we've been because the Board operates in secret, especially on this matter. But please know we are demanding accountability and we hope all readers agree it is needed. Phelps and Gillespie and Downs and Taylor and others have behaved terribly. The ethics rules are there for Justice. Call for reprimands and no rescinding . . .

Many months ago I requested records dealing with the recruitment and employment of Mark Taylor. The response said there were no such records. I tried again and received the same response. I think perhaps I will file a new FOIA request about that matter.

Take them to court. I’m sick of hearing FOIA requests are being ignored. It isn’t just here. It’s happening at the state level, too.

Phelps and Gillespie wouldn’t be ignoring these requests unless they did something damning. Spotsylvania deserves a clear picture about this situation.

They’ve had ample time to provide the information. Tell them they’ll be taken to court if they don’t comply by X date and follow through.

Court is what they want. They believe that the judges will be as hostile to us as they were when we went in there on the false Downs assault charge against Mr ellis. The system out here is devilishly bent and we need to avoid taking the bait that they put out. There are ethics requirements and they need to be applied. No more rescinding reprimands. The reprimands have to have teeth and it is time for them to be applied seriously. The board has to self police or we have nothing approaching accountability out here.
