Funny how perspective mattes. When I first read the headline, I wondered why anyone around here would care about a road crossing the New River. Any more than they would the Gauley or Roanoke.

Then I realized that for here, there is only 1 river that matters.

FWIW, put it about as far west as you can get by with. The lack of quality crossings between Rts 3 and 17 before getting to Rte 29 was surprising when moving to the area. Appears the west end of the county is the area with the steadiest growth, and 95 remains a chokepoint.

A lovely bridge overlooking the confluence of the Rapidan and Rappahannock, that follows the river and comes out about on the west side of the Chancellorsville at Orange Plank Road or Rte 20 would suit me just fine.
